Middle Eastern. Best falafel in LA. Get the mezze plate
A stunning piece of architecture with equally stunning views of the LA skyline and Hollywood Hills. A great living monument to astronomical science that's free and open to the public to boot!
An LA classic.
Really lovely natural house made sodas, such as parsley & mint with honey and ginger.

Amazing authentic ramen on the cheap, nestled in a food court inside Mitsuwa market. My personal favorite is the salt ramen.

Favorite brunch in LA. Expect a line. Try the sorrel pesto bowl, brioche toast with jam, & hor-choffee (horchata coffee)
The boat noodles and Jade noodles are both great but my favorite thing about Sapp is the Thai iced tea. Some of the best I've had.

Dated, but in a good way. Overpriced, but you get your money's worth. Service can be a touch amateur, but you don't go for service. I recommend.

Amazing cafe in a beautiful, bright space. There's a hum here that, combined with the color scheme, just makes you want to smile. The coffee, sweet, and savory menus are all equally tempting. Co-owner Charles Babinski just won the 2015 US Barista Championship as well!

Ran here every morning when I stayed in S. Monica. An oasis amidst Venice hot messery. Great espressos, vinyls on the turntable. The cortado here is served in a silver demi with a touch of turbinado sugar. Ask for Nicely; he's awesome. I recommend.

The flautas are great. A good little spot - one of LA's best chefs told me it's his favorite place to eat lunch.
New, used, trade books in a big loft space, very cool. Cafe and vinyl LPs now too.
Very cool space. I could spend a whole day here! So creatively designed and the whole upper level is split between interesting independent shops and a huge $1 section.

From the guys who did Animal, a great little spot on 3rd street. Mostly seafood but a mix of everything. Each dish we tried for lunch was excellent, most of all the fried chicken sandwich.
Not a Japanese restaurant! Upscale dining in Century City with a trendy ambiance but great food. Don't miss the short rib
Lovely French restaurant with a perfect ambiance. Great for small dinners or parties.
A juice/smoothie/vitamin/health food shop that is home to a few $10 beverages. Try the radiant skin smoothie!
Fun place for Thai food on Sunset Strip. More experimental dishes than the average Thai restaurant. Definitely a bit rowdy and rock-n-roll - not a laid back dining experience!
Excellent meal. Options ranging from 4-16 courses, with plenty of amuse buche thrown in. The signature menu (6 courses) is most popular and impeccable, as is the service. Prepare for a lengthy and pricey but well worth it dining experience. And an experience it is! Standouts were the prawns and waygu beef.
Fabulous Omakase, fresh as could be, albeit pricey. Expect a celebrity sighting.

Favorite LA spot. A great place to sit and have an afternoon of talking and eating with a friend.
Great selections of different salads as well as delicious sandwiches and pizzas. A fun casual alternative to big brother Gjelina next door.
Excellent barbecue and fixins!
Wonderful area to sit and work (despite lack of wifi). Delicious salads, drinks, lovely European feeling cafe environment
Great food, best boba. Beach cheery environment. Prices somewhat steep for a cafe.
My favorite breakfast spot in LA in an unexpected area. Great food and service! Old school feel Expect a wait on weekend mornings.
