Wonderful sandwich spot inside Cineteca Nacional. They meatball sandwich and the Cuban are some of the favorites, also they have a weekly pre fix menu. Perfect option before or after a movie.

Totally awesome. Sofia Garcia Osorio has a real gem here with her Mexican slow food. All the ingredients are as local as they can be, beans are cooked in an olla and corn ground on a metete. The restaurant literally has no name and it doesn't look like anything from the street...but it sure is special. Not to be missed.

Interesting outside; inside is an architectural nightmare with a terrible layout and childish detailing. The collection is hit and miss as well. It is free so decide for yourself but I wouldn't waste time here...go to the Jumex across the street instead.

Supposedly the best tostadas in the city can be found in this market. There are quite a few stalls selling them. The most popular one is "Las Originales" at the back and it's damn tasty. Go for the Tinga de Pollo, Salpicón and the Jaiga (blue crab). And any of the excellent juices. Don't be intimidated by the line, it goes quickly. Also note the market itself, which is an excellent Félix Candela structure.
